GENERAL DUTIES:
Perform a variety of instructional duties assisting a licensed staff member in the implementation of a specific program for individual students or small groups.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
English language, spelling, mathematics, and technology
Behavior management techniques
Computers and software
ABILITY TO:
Work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively with students, parents and teachers
Follow general oral and written instructions
Carry out duties of special care for students with behavior, medical, or daily living skills
Work independently and take initiative in task performance
Pass a Criminal Background/fingerprint check ($66 fee)
EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience working with students and the public is preferred

WAGES: $15.

Tillamook School District requires that all paraprofessionals be “Highly Qualified”.
There are 3 ways you can meet these requirements.
Possess an associate’s (or higher) degree, or
Complete two years of study at an institute of higher education with a minimum of 72 quarter college credits or 48 semester college credits, or
Pass a local assessment test demonstrating basic knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics skills.
