ASTORIA SCHOOL DISTRICT 1C JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Coach- Football, Assistant - Grades 7th-8th AMS REPORTS TO: Middle School Athletic Director ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule, plan and implement practices, plus game-day activities in accordance with OSAA and AHS guidelines.
Inventory all equipment.
Ability and willingness to assist with fund-raising.
Supervise bus trips.
Ability to work well with students, parents and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE POSITION: 1.
Current training or willingness to be trained in the following areas: NFHS Coaches Education Program Certification Concussion Management Steroid & Assessment First Aid/CPR Type 20 Mini Bus Certification Heat Index Training Certification 2.
Strong communication, discipline, organizational & time management skills with a willingness to learn.
3.
Knowledge of High School Federation rules and regulations.
