ABOUT CLATSOP COUNTY Today Clatsop County is one of nine Home Rule counties in Oregon.
Five non-partisan elected Commissioners set policy and appoint a full-time County Manager, who is responsible for daily operations.
County services are provided through ten divisions: County Administration (County Manager), Assessment and Taxation, Budget and Finance, Community Development, County Clerk, Juvenile, Public Health, Public Works, and the District Attorney, and Sheriff’s Offices.
The county also administers a road district, a rural law enforcement district, and a local sewer district.
The Facilities Department reports to the county administration division.
THE POSITION Under supervision of the Senior Administrative Supervisor, this position provides clerical, administrative, and customer support to assigned department/ division.
Responsibilities include basic word processing, document preparation, reception and customer service duties, data entry and retrieval, file maintenance, and serves as the first point of contact with visitors of the department/division.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum high school diploma/GED • Minimum one (1) year of training and experience in the clerical and/or administrative field or any satisfactory combination of experience and training.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Able to read and write Spanish.
Some college-level courses in business management, accounting principles, and techniques of project management or other related field.
• Knowledge of specific PC word processing software utilized by the county and previous experience in an administrative position with a county department.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Per the Pay Equity Law passed in 2017, a pay equity analysis will be conducted to determine what pay step the successful candidate will be offered.
The analysis will be based on the relevant experience, education, training, and certifications documented in the application materials.
