The Surfsand Resort of Vesta Hospitality is currently seeking a Front Office Assistant Manager to join our growing team!
As Front Office Assistant Manager, you are the direct supervisor of all front desk staff.
At times you will be responsible for completing front desk duties such as reservations and guest services along with covering shifts including audit and training on audit.
This position also oversees and assists the Beach Recreation Team.
Required work hours for this position: Evening Shift Thr – Sat.
2p – 1030p; Sunday & Mon 930a – 6p.

Responsibilities
Anticipates and intervenes in all instances of guest dissatisfaction with hotel policy
Maximizes room revenue and occupancy by consistently reviewing status
Ensures financial performance of the front desk department
Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
Manage online and phone reservations
Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Qualifications

A.
associate degree or 3+ years in related experience or field
Must have basic mathematical skills ie.
applying basics of geometry and algebra and basic computer skills
Ability to apply common sense, empathy and understanding to carry out instructions and provide delegation to staff
Customer service experience
Previous hotel experience preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
