*Job Description*:
The Tillamook County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Dentist to join our team.
This role involves providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages in our community health center.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for public health and a commitment to improving the oral health of underserved populations.
*Responsibilities*:
* Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assess patient dental health.
* Develop treatment plans and provide dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, and preventive care.
* Educate patients on oral health and disease prevention.
* Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other health care professionals to provide high-quality care.
* Participate in community outreach programs to promote oral health awareness.
* Maintain patient records and adhere to health department protocols and guidelines.
*Requirements*:
* Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental program.
* Valid state dental license (or the ability to obtain one before employment begins).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
* Experience in public health dentistry is preferred but not required.
