The Clinic LPN is accountable for all-technical skills, nursing care behaviors and professional responsibilities described in this position description and as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Answering the phone, scheduling appointments for consults, pre-op's and surgeries.
Check patients into the clinic and ensure proper charges for their visit.
Pull charts for the clinic.
Complete paperwork for Radiology, Laboratory exams and set up appointments if necessary
Ensure that all of the doctor’s paperwork has been completed, dictated and signed.
Making referrals for patients to specialist and ensuring that they get the proper information.
Ensure all proper paperwork is ready for all pre-ops and that consents are signed.
Keep track of all lump and bump removals and path reports or labs that are received.
Arrange for patient to meet with the business office for patient assistance with bill if needed.
Set patients up in exam rooms (example: set up supplies needed for their visit) and if needed help them onto gurney.
Keep exam rooms supplied, stocked, clean and disinfected.
Make sure that the doctor and staff are aware of the schedule and any changes to it.
Prescription authorization and calling prescriptions in to pharmacies.
Draw labs, Foley change, nebulizer treatment, injections and immunizations.
High School diploma or equivalent
Must have a current Washington State Certified Metical Assistant certificate or LPN
Keyboarding, switchboard and computer skills
Prefer prior clinic experience
Experience with Epic preferred
Understanding of medical terminology
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Holds current CPR card
