JOB TITLE: Family Resource and Community Partnerships Liaison (8 hours per day average/40 hours per week) REPORTS TO: Special Services Director JOB SUMMARY: This position serves as a liaison between teachers, families, students, support staff and the community regarding educational programs, services, and student issues in areas such as attendance, academics, behavior, and health; provide related outreach, support, and guidance services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.
Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
Ability to communicate fluently, verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
Proficient in basic computer skills/programs.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years successful experience working in a social services or school setting.
Ability to meet Highly Qualified Paraprofessional standards (2 years of college, Associates degree or WorkKeys skills test).
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support outreach, liaison and guidance services to assist in resolving student issues and problems in areas such as attendance, academics, behavior, and health.
Serve as an informational resource to parents, staff, and others concerning school programs, services, attendance issues, and other matters.
Respond to inquiries/provide information concerning activities, practices, processes, policies, and procedures.
Meet, confer with, and interview parents in the identification of family needs and issues.
Provide both written and verbal translation in a variety of settings.
Provide tutoring, academic and behavioral assistance to individual and small groups of students.
Compose, distribute and respond to a variety of correspondence related to liaison and support services.
Initiate and receive telephone calls; make home visits; schedule and arrange various student, parent and other appointments as assigned.
Establish and maintain partnerships with community agencies to facilitate and enhance support services for District students, parents and teachers.
Contact community agencies to provide information and follow up on referrals.
Maintain various records related to assigned activities.
Attend and participate in various meetings as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 205 work dates at 1.
0 FTE.
Based on current OSEA salary schedule and negotiated agreement, salary (code 10 – starting $19.
07/hr – $21.
99/hr) with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance and Oregon state retirement.
Paid time off includes one sick day per month worked and three personal days, pro-rated per school year.
